Super fun game, It gave me hard nostalgia vibes, but that's because I loved skateboarding games as a kid... and you can kinda pretend your rocket racoon on his day off, enjoying a nice longboarding session down some alien planet island. But anyways, that's my weird brain. I think the game is solid as it is,I would love to see more of it for sure!
Its very rare that an itch.io game would keep me coming back and have such satisfying and fun gameplay. Although I do hope you guys add more tricks that the player can do in the future and maybe some camera settings, but other than that you guys are AWESOME. PLEASE keep updating it.
There's a huge backlog of features, tricks, items and game modes that we want to bring to the game! I assure you we're working hard on them. Please look forward to the updates for sure! Thank you for playing!
Thank you for your video, Elixir of Gaming! We noticed how difficult it was to pull off a 360 degrees trick on the ramps, so we might add a bit more turning-speed to make it easier. Thanks again for playing!
Question though, is the camera following in the Update function perhaps? I'm getting a bit of..jitter at times- the same kinda jitter I get when I update the position of the camera in Update instead of LateUpdate (I was in browser tho so 🤷♀️)
We noticed that jitter as well. However it's not always consistent. It appears to happen most likely on the WebGL version but it goes away after you lose a life. Thanks for noticing! We definitely have that on our radar! Thanks for playing!
This weeks Itch Dot Io Indie is a psychedelic mixtape fueled ride down an endless road and I love every moment of it!
Rack up higher and higher scores as you collect cassettes, rock out to awesome newfound tunes, and of course cosplay as a rambunctious teenage Rocket Raccoon with a flair for punk.
If Arcade endless runners and a continual need to push yourself to higher and higher scores is your kind of thing then look no further <3
Thank you for your video review! We had a lot of fun watching you experiencing the game. We're pushing new updates regularly so we hope you can tell us more of what you think! :)
Thank you for your video review! It would be a lot better if we included a simple tutorial. We're working hard on updating the game. we're glad you enjoyed Tanuki Sunset!
I love, love this experience. Once I got how the drifts worked, I was off to the races. Do plan on leaderboard chasing to at least be published on it -- hard work.
I do have one question, I noticed other palletes existed (like the green/orange hue) is that an option in game now or something for the future?
Thank you so much for covering our game! You are really good at the game, especially considering the version you reviewed was before we released a patch that made the game a little easier.
Also we noticed that the post-Processing stack that is in charge of the color palettes was not being compiled properly. We addressed that as well on the v1.2 release. Keep coming back, we're updating the game regularly with cool features!
This game is a ton of fun! I am going to play it more when I just need to unwind. It brought back nostalgic memories of collecting tapes in the Tony Hawk video games. The look of the game seems to take inspiration from amazing games like Superflight. Heck, even the "never-ending" mechanic seems similar to Superflight. Well done, Squid Squad!
Superflight was probably one if not the biggest reference for the kind of feel we wanted to emulate while developing the game! Thank you for playing the game, we hope you keep enjoying it. Thank you for your feedback we're updating the game regularly and we want our community involved in the development as well.
Thanks for covering our game Ultimate Destroyer! We like the editing on your videos, I hope you had as much fun playing as we had watching you experience the game.
The "satisfaction" sound has been brought closer to what we had in mind first on version 1.1 of the game.
Version 1.2 of the game, coming later today will include changes to the drifting and turning curves. We believe it will make the drift feel more developed, as you mentioned. Please look forward to it!
this was incredible to play, it takes a sec to get a hang of the drifting, but once you do it's so satisfying. the transition from the that bossanova background to the dub hiphop background was a little jarring to me at first, and after a couple plays i got used to it, but it cost me a run or two. admittedly i was trying to see if it really felt as distracting as i thought it was, so it probably didn't help that i was focusing on the background. also you probably already saw this but the game gives you like 80ish air points whenever you start the game. i dont know a whole lot about skateboarding but im pretty sure the wheels turn with the board when you turn on a skateboard? idk im not sure if thats intentional and im wrong or if it's like a graphical error or something. my favorite background was the that bossanova one but i love all of them, i feel like the switching really keeps the game feeling fresh. also this isnt really relevant at all but the style kinda reminds me of sayonora wild hearts? idk i think maybe it's just that they have somewhat adjacent aesthetics, they both kind of have a neon theme going on.
tl;dr video game good. i like how it feel when i hit the button 10/10 would do instead of homework again. i hope the wall of text was helpful! thank y'all for putting this here, i had a lot of fun with it.
Hey @astrobowie! Thank you for your feedback. We are trying our best to collaborate with indie artists who are just starting out just like us. Our goal is to have a curated collection of songs and different visual moods to go along with them.
Your feedback is super valuable to us, please look forward to updates that are coming very soon to the game. We're fixing that "Air" trick, smoothing out the drifting, and more.
Honestly though, the "moaning" is really uncomfortable, distracting, and doesn't really fit with anything in the game. Any plans to let us turn that off?
We agree. We're going to change the trigger chance and the volume and variety of that specific sound effect. What we had in mind originally was way more subtle than what it ended up being. Thanks a lot for the feedback @RussianRaccon!
Thank you for your time in watching my gameplay and your awesome game development. I truly appreciate it. Pls let me know when the game is finished. I would love to play it again for the channel. Keep up the great work.
We're glad you like it! We have only been working on it for a couple weeks. Right now we're still tuning the gameplay, it seems a little difficult from the get go. So after we polish that, and add some cool features we would love to release it on the Nintendo Switch.

its fun to play on Radio mode, nice one guys.
So bizarre.
One of my favorite things to do in this game is travel as far as I can backwards. (its the very easy).

Thanks for your video! We added a bunch of stuff that makes us nostalgic. Thanks for playing!
I'm glad you did, because that's what makes it really cool and hit me in that nostalgia too! I love it and really hope you're able to do more with it!
i tried for so long to do a 720. and the amount of satisfaction i got made my jaw drop. please don't stop updating lol
We plan to track those turning tricks soon! Hopefully it makes it even more rewarding!

Had a blast playing this game! Very much has the "just one more run!" itch that many games like these fail to maintain.
Thank you for your video, Elixir of Gaming! We noticed how difficult it was to pull off a 360 degrees trick on the ramps, so we might add a bit more turning-speed to make it easier. Thanks again for playing!
loved it!!!!!
Thank you for your video! We're glad you enjoyed it!
its really adictive. but an idea is to have a back button so i dont have to exit the gam e to change gamemode or options.
Noted. We saw plenty of people wanting to return to the main menu. We're adding that in an update very soon! Thanks for playing!
Aesthetic af.
Smooth af.
Cute af.
Good job af.

This is really cool! I love the music!
One of my favourite part of development was choosing which songs to buy the licenses for. We would love to add more cool songs in the future!
Thanks for the response! I'm excited for any new songs you might add soon!
Raccoons. Skateboards. Mixtapes. Drifting.
What more could you ever want from a game?

Thank you so much for your video review Loki. Keep coming back, we're planning cool updates and new additions to the game soon!
I like the idea its a great game.
tip: replace some food becouse you know racoons like to steal food and the sounds are suitable :D
We definitely want to add more food to the game. We want to add a milkshake but we're not sure what to do with it yet. :)
OMG THIS GAME IS SO FUN everything feels right with the aesthetic
Thanks for playing!
This was surprisingly cool to play. I love when you pick up a new track.

J'aime bien l'idée de ramasser les musiques!
Good job!
Merci d'avoir joué à notre jeu!
10/10 would get 3rd on high scores again
A bit hard but fun to play! :)
Thank you for playing! Look forward for version 1.2 later today, we are addressing the difficulty of the game.
Nice. We saw someone on Twitter do it earlier too. Look forward to an update soon. Thanks for playing our game!
Really fun, love the music and aesthetic!

We made those just for you. <3
